In my second year at University I created a concept for an Overwatch character based on the Angolan tribe the 'Muhimba'. The task was to make a 3D character that follows the Overwatch style.

The character I made was also meant to be non binary, hence the more ‘feminine’ looking body types. The goal was to make a character who had both masculine and feminine traits.
Though the muhimba are all largely red toned because of the clay they put on their skin I Wanted to play with different skin tones anyway.
The hair was important because the way one wears their hair is an important part of Muhimba culture. Though the head scarf and braids were indicative of a healer, having a hairstyle that actually is part of the Muhimba’s culture was more important.
Some accessories to help show off the character’s fascination of the stars in the sky.
The final chosen headpiece was the best I think, as the other examples made were too cluttered.
Clothes are largely based off of Muhimba clothing and accessorising, but with a techy twist to them.
Rounder silhouettes make the character friendly, although they are a fighter.
